If you are going to be traveling to the Pacific Northwest, Seattle, Washington is a great place to visit. It is a wonderful place for sailing, hiking, camping, and all manner of outdoor recreation; yet it also has dance, festivals, fairs, and a variety of arts and culture. So, if you decide to journey there, you can go to one of the University District hotels to stay.
Now, you can always just go to the city, visit the University District, and look over the hotels there. But, it is always best to properly plan ahead. So, you should go online and do a search via a search engine like Yahoo or Google. They will provide you with a plethora of web sites that list University District Hotels in Seattle, Washington.
To start with, you have The University Inn, right on Roosevelt Way NE. It is in a great location, only a few blocks – and minutes – from the downtown area and the University of Washington. The hotel prides itself on its complimentary services; among them a breakfast bar, wireless Internet access, and parking. If you stay there during the summer, their seasonal pool is a great place to relax in, plus they have an outdoor hot tub. Also, as if their location is not good enough, they have a free shuttle that will take you downtown, to the Space Needle, to the shopping mall, the Woodland Park Zoo, and countless other places.
Next, also on Roosevelt Way NE, there is the Watertown Hotel. It is also mere blocks from the university and the downtown area, and the place – in an effort to encourage health and fitness, has bicycles for loan to its patrons. With them, it is a short ten-minute drive to the zoo, and Green Lake, a very popular area in the city. Rather than wireless Internet access, each room has a free DSL Internet connection. You also get a free breakfast, and there is a free shuttle to take you all over the area. A very nice added feature is a complimentary wine tasting session offered on the weeknights.
Over on Brooklyn Avenue NE is the Hotel Deca. The place sits right on the north side of Lake Union, and it is a mere two blocks from the college’s campus. Like other hotels, it has a variety of complimentary services: parking, wireless Internet access, and each room sports a nice flat screen TV with a DVD player, and a port to dock your iPod. The hotel is duly proud of their wine bar, meeting hall, and ballroom.
Of course, these hotels tend to be rather “high end” when it comes to price. Yet, there are places like Travelodge and other hotels that are a bit more modest in cost. So, check out all of the places available, and you can be sure that your visit to Seattle will be a great one.
